We now have 100’s of different species to choose from and the list is growing all the time, literally! Our nursery can now carry over 80,000 tubestock, sun hardened and ready to plant.

Our stock includes: rainforest trees, eucalypts, and a range of shrubs, groundcovers, vines, grasses, wetland, riparian and coastal species.

Plant Profiles - Planting after a big wet.

Recently we have all had a huge rainfall event and many areas flooded. The personal grief some Queenslanders are enduring is shocking and our hearts go out to them.

In terms of the natural environment, many areas have been stripped of vegetation with the high volume of water travelling across the landscape.

Below are some plants that are suitable for planting along waterways which may help to stabilize and prevent erosion.

   Carex sp. - This clumping grass-like group of plants are wonderful along creek banks and wetlands. It is fast growing and readily self-seeds, forming dense clumps.

Juncus usitatus - Common Rush. Another clumping plant with cylindrical stems. It grows to 1.2m tall. This plant is often widespread in damp areas.

Baumea sp. - Twigrush. An erect herb of freshwater swamps. Can grow as tall as 2.5m.

Pollia crispata - a lovely scrambling herb to 1m tall. It loves moist areas and can cope with high shade. Has white, sometimes bluish, flowers.

  Lomandra sp. - Matrush. This familar robust clumping plant grows along watercourses and rainforest edges. A wonderful plant for stability. Easy to plant and easy to grow.
